Apple Lands First Animated Series, Central Park

It seems the company has a reasonable amount of faith in the material and the project as a whole, since Central Park received an initial two-season order, with 26 total episodes on the way.

Bouchard and Gad will executive produce, with Smith serving as a consulting producer.

Bell and Gad will voice characters along with Leslie Odom Jr., Titus Burgess, Stanley Tucci, Daveed Diggs and Kathryn Hahn. Kevin Larsen, who played a key role in getting the project together, is a producer.

Apple has already committed to a two-season pickup for Central Park, not unlike what Netflix recently did when they managed to snag the Riverdale spinoff Sabrina from Warner Bros.

Fox TV is also the producer of hit animated comedies such as The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad!

Central Park will be joining a thriller series from M. Night Shyamalan, a series from La La Land's Dmaien Chazelle, Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories anthology series, a new space drama from Battlestar Galactica's Ron Moore, and a whole lot more. According to a report from THR, the digital giant has picked up its first animated comedy series, Central Park.

The show was originally developed for Fox, where Bouchard has an overall deal.
