Accident victim made to use severed leg as pillow in hospital


The child who was suddering from pneumonia died mid-way. These incidents reveal poor health care services of the state and how much responsible the doctors are. Previously, another case had surfaced from a private hospital situation in Delhi when the hospital had declared a newborn alive baby dead.

He was badly injured after the bus, in which he was travelling, met with an accident. The driver lost control of his vehicle when he came across a herd of stray cattle.

As per the details, the ill-fated bus, full of students, was returning from Lehchura.

The conductor of the bus, Ghanshyam, 28 who was standing on the gate got trapped and his leg got severed.

A video footage of the same has emerged however, it is unclear if he was aware of what he was lying on while his severed leg was propped up. 'He was given immediate medical aid.

According to his relatives, doctors were the ones to place the foot under his head as a pillow.

INDIAN authorities have suspended two doctors and launched an investigation after a patient's severed leg was used as a pillow to prop up his head, a hospital official said today. We've set up a committee. Strict action will be taken if our staff is found to be at fault, ' she added.

Family member Janaki Prasad said: "When we reached the hospital, we saw his leg being used as a headrest".

'I repeatedly asked the doctors to intervene but they refused.
