Mega Man Legacy Collections 1 and 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch owners don't have to worry about waiting forever for some Mega Man action. If you have a regular or golden Mega Man amiibo, you'll also gain access to eleven additional fan-made challenges (from this contest), previously exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS version of the game and now making their console debut on Nintendo Switch!

Both collections will be available to purchase on May 22 on the Nintendo eShop, and Capcom is releasing a physical edition, but that has only been confirmed for North America as of yet. There are songs from each game, too, and a challenge collection. There is also a new rewind feature that will allow you to avoid a catastrophic mistake. Mega Man 9 and 10 will have previously released DLC. The first collection will be a Switch cart and the second is a digital download code for $39.99. The first Legacy Collection contains the first six Mega Man games that originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Three generations of gaming graphics will also be available to play as well "extra modes" such as Challenge mode, Sound Mode and Mueseum Mode.

The arrival of Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 to the Nintendo Switch is not the only way that Capcom is celebrating the Blue Bomber's 30th Anniversary. It's a good way to get ready for the next entry in the series, Mega Man 11, which is coming in 2018 to the Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The Mega Man 30th Anniversary stream from back in December was home to an exciting handful of announcements, including the reveal of Mega Man 11.
