No discounts are now being offered either, which means you will need to pay Rs.4,499 for the Echo Dot, Rs.9,999 for Echo, and Rs.14,999 for the Echo Plus smart speaker. According to the Amazon, the Indian consumers now have access to over 12,000 skills on the Echo smart speakers. Using their voice, users can incrementally adjust volume, to change the input of a playback device, switch a VIZIO SmartCast display on and off and even control playback functions such as fast forward, rewind and pause on select apps. Just ask, and Alexa will answer questions, play music, turn the lights on and off, give sports scores, check the weather, call your friends and family and more.

Initially, Amazon Echo, Echo Plus and Echo Dot were available by invitation only. These features have already been available to many users across the country, but soon the broader rollout will start.

But things were made worse when the phrase was repeated by TV anchor Jim Patton, who said: "I love the little girl saying, 'Alexa ordered me a dollhouse".' Viewers were stunned when their own Amazon Echoes picked up the voice requests in the report and also ordered the child's toy online.

After nearly six months of wait, Amazon has updated its digital assistant, Alexa, to enable "Individual Voice Profiles" and "Drop-in" feature for all the Echo Devices in India.

Along with the start of offline sales via its partners, Amazon has also removed the invite system from their website for getting an Echo smart speaker. But, that's not the scenario any longer.

Commenting on the wide availability, Jayshree Gururaj Director of Amazon Devices said, "We are grateful to the customers across India who have helped create the Alexa experience during the invite phase". In the offline channel, Amazon has tied up with over 350 retail outlets across 20 cities in India, including the likes of Reliance Digital, Croma, Crossword and more. We are excited to make Alexa and our Echo devices available for all customers, and we can't wait to hear about their experiences.
