Women Accuse Actor James Franco Of Sexually Inappropriate Behavior

On Late Night With Seth Meyers, Meyers didn't pull any punches, and asked the actor about the claims right off the bat.

Tither-Kaplan and others, like Violet Paley, posted allegations against the actor online during Sunday's Golden Globes after spotting him wearing a "Times Up" pin.

Paley, a 23-year-old actress who met Franco in early 2016 and hoped that he would help her learn about filmmaking, also tweeted in response to his Golden Globes appearance on Sunday. The Times said in a statement to the New York Daily News that it canceled the event "given the controversy surrounding recent allegations".

"Why is a man hosting?" Why is James Franco allowed in? Four of the women were his students and another said he was her mentor. "Please don't ever ask me why I left the film/tv business". After he took the stage, actress Ally Sheedy tweeted and then deleted a cryptic message, in which she appeared to reference his lewd conduct. Remember the time you pushed my head down in a vehicle towards your exposed penis & that other time you told my friend to come to your hotel when she was 17?

The renewed scrutiny on Franco comes four years after he apparently sent a series of text messages, posted on the image-sharing website Imgur, in which he seemed to try to seduce a 17-year-old Scottish girl he had met outside a Broadway theater in NY.

"I feel there was an abuse of power, and there was a culture of exploiting non-celebrity women, and a culture of women being replaceable", Tither-Kaplan told the outlet. "Times up on that!"

CNN has reached out to the three women for comment.

Franco's attorney denied any such request was made.

He also referred to the other allegations against him as "not accurate".

Learning lessons appears to be something of a theme for Franco. With Kelly and Michael to apologize.

"I have my own side of this story, but I believe in these people that have been underrepresented getting their stories out, enough that I will hold back things that I could say, just because I believe in it that much", Franco told Meyers. "There are people, women and others, who have not been a part of this conversation". Franco was speaking to a 2014 accusation that he'd been involved in at least one questionable sexual exchange with an underage woman. "I felt that he was still not really taking accountability for the environment on the sets". "I got it in my head pretty quickly that, OK, you don't say no to this guy", she said.

"The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate".

Colbert followed up by asking if there was a way to have this discussion off social media. "I will make it", Franco said. I have to. I mean, I think that's how that works. I don't know what else, I don't know what else to do. You know, there were incredible people talking that night. They had a lot to say and.
