Woman returns 'dead' Christmas tree in January, gets full refund


That's what a California woman tried to do January 4, when she brought her dead tree back to a Costco store, the Sun reported.

The post said that the woman did get a refund but after the store checked and verified that the tree was purchased on her account. To the disbelief of fellow shoppers, the store granted her request and sent her home with her money.

"I can't make this stuff up", he wrote. He described the woman as "totally nonchalant" as she waited in line to return her Christmas tree on Jan 4. While the rest of us were debating where to abandon our trees, one woman chose to take hers back for a refund.

Costco is known for a generous refund policy under which any item barring electronics can be returned at any time within 90 days.

The man even took a photo of the woman and posted it on social media.

The woman who received the refund for the old Christmas tree faced backlash from Facebook users.

Another wrote: "Sister works for Costco, can confirm".
