After spending just one month in Xbox Game Preview, the popular battle royale has passed 3 million players.

"According to the service SteamSpy, PUBG became the best selling game on PC for all history of existence of the platform, "sliding" even cubic Minecraft with its circulation of 27.5 million (100 million with the consoles)".

Many other similarly structured games are expected over the years ahead, hoping to ape and hopefully improve on the PUBG formula.

For players just getting started, there will be a Tips and Tricks segment on Mixer at 3 p.m. PST on January 16 to share tips on inventory management and showcase UX shortcuts and features on the Xbox One controller. Some players are having trouble finding Squad games with people that speak their language and are being paired with Chinese players, which doesn't sound like a very enjoyable experience at all.

This is by far the most controversial addition, only because of the ridiculous drop rates for items in the new crates. Basically, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds isn't anywhere near finished yet. PUBG has seen around four updates since its launch, which amounts to about one update per week.

PUBG is now available to play on the PC and Xbox platforms although no details have been announced as yet whether the game will arrive on the PlayStation 4. When the game's arrival on Xbox One was announced, console gamers were excited to get in on the action.

If you are interested in learning more about the performance of the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds game on the Xbox platform jump over to our previous articles which include testing videos created by the team over at Digital Foundry. You can keep up to date on these through PUBG's official forums. "Crash fixes, like all areas of the game, will be something we continue to improve upon as part of our Xbox Game Preview roadmap".

So there's basically good news and bad news when it comes to getting PUBG on PS4.
