One - a spinoff app called WhatsApp for Business - will allow small business to field customer questions and send them updates. This feature lets you customize the individual notifications of WhatsApp as per your preference.

The company could also expand the service to bigger businesses and bring on board the likes of Netflix, BookMyShow, MakeMyTrip, etc - all companies that have struck partnerships with WhatsApp to communicate with their users through the platform instead of text messages.

If you want to give WhatsApp Business a try and you live in one of the five countries mentioned above, you can download the app from the Play Store at the widget below or from APK Mirror.

Create Business Profiles - Provides business description, email, store address, website and more. The Whatsapp Web edition will also be optimized so that a person can represent the business and manage all the incoming, outgoing messages with the convenience of a desktop computer. This all helps you build up your business and brand and market your business to people separate from your regular WhatsApp account.

There will also be added functionality of viewing statistics that will help businesses figure out what messages are working with customers and the ones that aren't. The company said that WhatsApp is used by people all over the world in order to connect with various small businesses. "We're able to respond faster to customers with features like away messages and quick replies, and offer a better overall experience". Over time, some businesses will have Confirmed Accounts once it has been confirmed that the account phone number matches the business phone number. Co-founder Devesh Nichani says, "WhatsApp Business helps us develop stronger relationships with our customers". As of now, the current set of features will be free, but the messaging service does plan to introduce a freemium model in the future, a WhatsApp spokesperson told TNW.

Other metrics will eventually come to WhatsApp Business too.
