Police Identify Shooting Suspect, Search Ongoing

The area of Union and Vickers was closed for several more hours Saturday as police conducted their investigation.

Black said officers returned fire. He says shots were exchanged between the suspect and police. The suspect was also uninjured.

Police were serving an outstanding warrant and were fired upon by the subject, it has been reported.

One of the suspects reportedly pulled out a handgun after the security guards approached and waved it in the air.

Police said in a statement that they believe Arceneaux may be involved in numerous crimes committed over the 48 hours leading up to his arrest.

Colorado Springs Police have set up a large perimeter for an active shooter situation in the area near the intersection of Union Blvd. and Vickers Drive.

Police are looking for a Caucasian male in his 30s, about 6 feet tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and light blue jeans.

Residents were warned to remain in their homes, away from windows and to not open their doors to strangers. CSPD still calls it an active situation, and an active search for the suspect. A reverse-911 message has been issued to all affect citizens in the area.
