The Dream Day Foundation, with McDonald's of Auburn, Opelika and Tuskegee is hosting a Martin Luther King, Jr. The luncheon will conclude around 3:30 p.m. and a service will take place in the Sanctuary beginning at 4 p.m. An audio presentation re-living speeches from King will be included.
The legacy of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. was honored Friday as Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb, his wife and about 60 others walked cautiously through two city blocks of ice and snow to conduct a remembrance ceremony in the Statehouse.
King received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.
