Monaco boss Jardim tempts Liverpool into huge Lemar bid

Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has said the club may be open to selling reported Arsenal and Liverpool target Thomas Lemar in the January transfer window.

The Gunners remain interested in signing Lemar but Liverpool have plenty of cash in the bank from Coutinho's sale and can now topple Arsenal's offer, according to the Mirror.

According to the Daily Mail, Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool are both reportedly interested in the French worldwide. Everything can change. The things I can say today are not true tomorrow. However, despite that, the French global has struggled this season but still remains a world-class prospect.

Liverpool are believed to have felt such a fee was too steep at the time, though may be more willing to spend having received the £142m windfall from Philippe Coutinho's exit.

Ozil and Sanchez will become free agents in the summer; however, the latter could be on the move this month with Manchester City favourites to land the Chilean.

Liverpool are looking for a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who had his dream move to Barcelona finalised on Saturday, and the Reds are long time admirers of the France global. "But the month is long and many things could happen", said the Monaco coach.

But with the scoring form of Liverpool's trio, especially Salah who has 17 goals so far at 0.96 per 90, Lemar to Liverpool could be a deal worth doing. However, 22-year-old Lemar decided that the move was happening too quickly and stayed in the principality. He is young, he can still play for 10 years. I wouldn't rule it out, but I don't see him beating down their door saying "it's now or never" because I don't think it is.
