The 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards held last night in Mumbai, saw glamour and glory galore, but we only had one thing on our minds: Hindi Medium's wins. The award for Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) was presented to Vidya Balan for "Tumhari Sulu". Filmfare Awards are one of the most prestigious award shows in India, but renowned film critics Rajeev Masand has branded it to be "a joke".

Among the veterans Rekha was present and she presented the award to Vidya Balan.

Everyone from Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor, whose film PadMan is right around the corner, to Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Parineeti Chopra, Kajol and Rekha arrived in the most glamorous dresses and tuxedos.

The movie did fairly well when it won two wins out of these five; Best Film and Best Actor (Male). It's unbelievable. I would like to thank Jio Filmfare. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari won the Best Director award for 'Bareilly ki Barfi, ' reports our New Delhi correspondent.

Filmfare announced the nominations for the Critics' Awards, possibly in a bid to mollify those who spoke out against the initial nominations. Others nominated in the category are Irrfan Khan for Hindi Medium, Ranbir Kapoor for Jagga Jasoos, and Vikrant Massey for A Death In The Gunj.

She said while receiving the award: "Thank you so much..." When host Shah Rukh Khan asked Ranveer about his costume, he replied: "People eat movies, drink movies, I even wear movies".

Iconic music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri won the Jio Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.
