Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited () has increased the validity of its unlimited call and data packs of Rs. 186, Rs. 187, Rs. 349, Rs. 429, Rs. 485, and Rs. 666 to please its prepaid subscribers. The Rs 485 and Rs 666 plans offer 1.5GB of data per day along with above-mentioned benefits. To start with the Rs 186 and Rs 187 plans, both of them now offers unlimited voice calls along with 1GB of data per day over a period of 28 days. The ₹458 prepaid plan now has a validity of 84 days whereas the ₹509 prepaid plan now comes with a validity of 91 days.

Earlier, Airtel has launched other competitive offers to take on Jio's plans. Apart from these, Jio is now offering 3GB data per day and 5GB data per day for 28 days with the Rs. 509 and Rs. 799 packs, respectively. The number of messages allowed in the plan is 100 per day. Users will also get unlimited voice calls and free roaming under this offer. The telecom operator is offering either 43 percent of extra validity or 50 percent additional data. Hence, Vodafone prepaid customers doing a recharge of ₹458 now get a total of 14 GB more data, whereas the customers doing recharge of ₹509 get 7 GB more data. Airtel had a Rs. 199 prepaid pack to compete with Jio's pack at the same rate. For example, the Rs. 349 pack gives helps prepaid users with 2GB data daily, unlimited local, STD and roaming calls with 100 SMS per day.
Data Plans of Jio - The 198 plan of Jio is the first plan that offers 1.5GB daily data. Jio subscribers are also provided with the upgraded Rs. 349 pack that offers similar benefits for 70 days.
