HTC U11 EYEs Launch Expected January 15; Price and Specifications Leak Alongside


This hasn't officially been confirmed yet, but it's a safe bet given the fact that HTC emphasized the word Eye in its Weibo post.

Towards the end of 2017, we learnt about the forthcoming HTC U11 EYEs thanks to reliable leaker Evan Blass. The device is expected to come in Silver, Black and Red colour options.

Today via its official Facebook page, HTC announced that its new smartphone U11 EYEs is all set to officially launch on January 15 in Taipei, Beijing, and Hong Kong.

The U11 EYEs is expected to launch on January 15th for ¥3,299 (~$510 USD). As a result, the top and bottom front bezels are thinner, while the 6-inch 2160 x 1080 Super LCD3 display notably features rounded corners.

In terms of camera, it is rumoured to feature a dual-camera setup at the front (as we can see from the leaked image) which is said to be a 5MP+5MP combination and a single 12MP main shooter at the back. Now the same man has leaked renders and revealed the full specs on Twitter of the upcoming phone, including the all important release date. Another online report suggests that the company is also working on its flagship smartphone called HTC U12 which will be powered by Qualcomm's recently launched Snapdragon 845 processor. It further packs 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory and there is a microSD slot for expansion, although the limit is yet unknown.

Apart from that, the HTC U11 EYEs (Harmony) is said to run Edge Sense based on Android Nougat. From what we could spot on the teaser, the phone may well arrive with dual selfie cameras.

Reports say the phone could land in Hong Kong, China, and HTC's home country Taiwan first, and then in other markets, including the USA, as HTC Harmony.
