First Alert Weather: Sunday will be a First Alert Weather Day

Despite the clouds and rain, Friday is still going to be mild with afternoon highs on either side of 60 degrees. So you can certainly say it's quite a cold start this morning compared to how this week started; however, the temperatures we have this morning are actually fairly close to where they should be for this time of the year.

Great to see the sunshine today and a nice bounce in temperatures too as the mercury jumped well into the 40s.

Rainfall totals from Saturday's showers should be light for most of the area.

It's been a gray and dreary kind of week, but sunshine showed itself in Mid-Michigan yesterday afternoon and even more of it is on the way as we get ready to end the week.

On Saturday, highs will be in similar territory, but expect a few rain showers in the early morning.

"The system will likely give the area a good soaking with 1-2" in most spots, but isolated amounts, over a period of several hours, may see up to 3". Highs should climb to around 50 again Saturday afternoon. Your VIPIR 7 Day Forecast will keep us running seasonally mild on Saturday despite the increasing clouds, and rain chances pick up Saturday night into Sunday. By Wednesday, high pressure settles atop the region making for mostly sunny skies and lighter winds.

This weekend brings a chance of showers our way. It will fight with warm air to our south for a week or so.
