Destiny 2: Bungie Makes Requested Changes to How Eververse Works

Bungie has laid out its plans for the future of Destiny 2, addressing fan concerns that have been building for months and announcing an overhaul of the game's Eververse microtransaction system amid industry-wide outcry about the practice of implementing micropayments.

The much criticised Eververse will be changed, with Christopher saying "We recognize that the scales are tipped too far towards Tess at the moment, and Eververse was never meant to be a substitute for end game content and rewards". That's not surprising. But there are some changes happening to "shift the balance" of favoring activity rewards over having to earn them through Bright Engrams.

We'll give players more direct purchase options and make adjustments to Bright Engrams to allow players to get the items they want more often.

According to Game Director Christopher Barrett, Crimson Days will return on February 13 and will feature some of the long term loot changes Bungie has planned for Destiny 2.

Bungie needs to win back a lot of the Destiny 2 community, and they are hoping that this massive, well-detailed update is the first step in establishing a more transparent and stable relationship with the players, who want to feel heard and respected.

That said, Bungie will be making changes to how the Eververse works in upcoming Seasons. During Crimson Days, leveling up will award both a Bright Engram and a Crimson Engram, each of which is strongly weighted to drop non-duplicate rewards. "In the coming months, we'll talk to you more about what you can expect to find in Destiny 2's next story". "We are excited to share the details as soon as we have them worked out".

In spring, alongside the release of Destiny 2's second, untitled expansion, comes a new season for players - during which clans can start earning rewards from scratch again. Lastly, this update will include PC Tower Chat, quickplay improvements, the appearance of Fireteam members on the destination map.

The developer has kicked off 2018 with a big list of improvements: some expected additions, some returning Destiny 1 features, and a couple of genuine surprises.

Destiny 2, the game that learned nothing from the failures and misgivings of its predecessor.

Exotic Weapon and Armor Balance Pass: Exotic weapons and armor are receiving a comprehensive design pass to ensure they stand out from the rest of the gear and offer new, exciting, powerful ways to play. When it comes to ranked play, the game will have two separate ranking systems for players to pursue-Valor and Glory. Everything that seems to be constructed in order to coax you into spending more money pretty much stayed the same, despite fan protests. "The team is eager to show you what they've been working on".

When multi-emote launches, you will be able to choose which emote you have equipped to each of your four emote slots.

In the near future, Bungie will look to add the following and more.
