Big B sends handwritten note to Ranveer Singh

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is getting accolades from all over for his portrayal of Alauddin in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmaavat". And "Padmaavat" has also marked his fastest Rs 100-crore mark in four days.

"Khalibali" is played when Alauddin Khilji has captured Padmavati's husband Maharawal Ratan Singh (played by Shahid Kapoor) and was waiting for her arrival in Delhi. "I feel very happy and very fulfilled today", Singh added. Honestly, it's a relief to be validated in this way. "We know well how much he has contributed towards the film".

The song is sung by Shivam Pathak and Shail Hada, while the lyrics are penned by A M Turaz and the music is composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Ranveer had earlier revealed that many people had suggested him not to play a negative character. "It took a lot out of me". I had seen Neerja and was blown away by his performance.

The earth-shattering box office numbers of "Padmaavat" has also made Deepika the 'undisputed Queen of Rs 100 crore club'.

"Padmaavat" the movie which was scheduled to release in December could not do so, due to revolts from the political group Karni Sena as well as it was not able to attain a clearance certificate from CBFC.
