Heisman Trophy victor Baker Mayfield made an instagram comment on Thursday that indicated that he wanted to play for the Miami Dolphins.

Kenny Stills is live on Instagram.

And after racking up prestigious accolades for his performances during live snaps, Mayfield said he's eager to meet with National Football League coaches and front-office personnel and explain why some of his antics after the whistle and his behavior off the field won't be an issue going forward.

Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield has been named the 2017 Manning Award victor after a season in which he passed for 4,627 yards and 43 touchdowns. They do, though, want to draft a quarterback this spring, according to the Miami Herald. There are also several teams ahead of them, such as the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, New York Jets, and Denver Broncos, who are all in the position to possibly take a promising quarterback prospect with their respective first-round picks.

The 2018 NFL Draft is still a few months away, but former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is expected to be a high first-round pick.

"The Dolphins want to draft a quarterback in April".

Nearly every mock draft has Mayfield going in the first round, so the scenario is certainly possible. The Dolphins played Jay Cutler this past season and Ryan Tannehill is coming off an ACL injury. He has him landing at No. 13 to Washington, though.
