We first heard about a remastered version of Assassin's Creed: Rogue on three different Italian retail websites. It'll run at 1080p by default, or in 4K with said enhancement-capable machines. Fans of the franchise will remember Rogue as the game that launched alongside Assassin's Creed Unity in 2014, and while it was technically an inferior product in graphics, the several technical issues of Unity made some think that PS3 and 360 users had received the better game of the two.
Along with this information, Ubisoft shared a trailer of Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered. It releases on March 20th.

"Assassin's Creed Rogue tells the unique story of Shay Patrick Cormac, a fearless young member of the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, who undergoes a dark transformation from an Assassin to a grim and committed Templar who hunts down his former brothers".
New And Improved Naval Gameplay Cast off in your ship, the Morrigan, and fight your way through the icy seas of the North Atlantic and the narrow waters of America's river valleys. Play as Shay, who, in addition to the deadly skills of a Master Assassin, also possesses never-before-seen skills and weapons. Naval warfare was a huge feature from Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Rogue took it to a whole other level. I'm certainly looking forward to playing this one when it drops on PS4 and Xbox One on March 20.
Given how Assassin's Creed's popularity has risen thanks to the excellent Assassin's Creed: Origins, now is certainly a great time to re-release Assassin's Creed: Rogue by way of a remaster.
