Arsene Wenger reveals where Mkhitaryan will play

The Armenia worldwide secured a switch to Arsenal after Manchester United snapped up Alexis Sanchez as part of the swap deal.

Arsene Wenger has revealed he may resort to playing new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan out of position in order to accommodate him in his starting XI.

It remains to be seen how Wenger will use Mkhitaryan, given that he is not the same player as Sanchez who ventured further forwards on the left of the Arsenal attack and was also given free licence to roam across the pitch.

Wenger was then asked whether we can expect Mkhitaryan to make his Arsenal debut against Swansea City next Tuesday.

"He has usually been a wide player and can absorb the role as a winger, playmaker but he can be a box-to-box player".

"I haven't decided [if Mkhitaryan plays on Tuesday] yet. We will certainly decide that on Monday, he's available like everyone else, so yes [he is in the squad]", Metro quotes Wenger.

The Gunners have spent the current campaign with question marks hanging over the futures of a number of their key players, with Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez all having less than a year remaining on their contracts.

He told Arsenal's official website: 'Here at Arsenal I know that lots of players move a lot and it's incredible the way [the team] plays.

For United, they now have to focus on making sure they finish second in the Premier League and doing as well as possible in the Champions League.

I believe the way we will play will go well with him and we will see his real quality coming out. I look forward to it.
