He wrote, "Kaalakaandi is one of the funniest I have seen in a long time".

Yes, the perfectionist who is known to have an awesome choice of films as an actor and as producer too is mighty impressed with Kaalakaandi. He also had encouraging words for the first-time director, who has writing credits for 2011's Delhi Belly (starring Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan). Absolutely loved all the performances.

Kaalakaandi has released in theatres all over the nation today.

"Kaalakaandi" has been directed and written by Akshat Verma, who is famous for his adult comedy movie Delhi Belly. The film which was supposed to release in September a year ago was earlier meant to be produced by Anushka Sharma and his brother. Firstly, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) asked for insane number of cuts due to which the makers made a decision to move to the Tribunal. As you all may know that this movie is going to make you all amazed because of the good directional work and production work is quite good in the movie.

Saif Ali Khan is immensly proud of the film and in an ealrier interview to DNAAfterHrs said, "Yes, the film is in an interesting space". And I have enjoyed the experience of working with Akshat. The film features Kunal Roy Kapur, Vijay Raaz, Amyra Dastur, Deepak Dobriyal, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil and Neil Bhoopalam in pivotal roles. The name of Saif's film "Kaalakandi" is Marathi slang for things went horribly wrong. It is Saif Ali Khan's first movie after Rangoon and Chef failed to perform at the box office.
