Conor McGregor Money Fight declared second richest in history

This is good news for UFC fans, although it's a bit unclear who McGregor will take on in his return fight. What do you make of Floyd Mayweather's comments?

Conor McGregor could be going back to MMA after his boxing dalliance. I think a true is fight is what I want to. A real fight. What's a real fight?

McGregor had been rumored to be returning to the boxing ring, with both Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya both saying they wanted to battle the UFC star.

Dana White flat out denied the possibility of a fight between McGregor and Pacquiao, going as far as to threaten to sue the highly decorated former champion and "whoever is representing him".

Despite many labelling the fight a mis-match, however, the fighters had hoped the bout would become the richest in the sport's history.

The news does mean, however, that "Money" has been involved in the four most popular fights in boxing history.

The Mayweather-McGregor pay-per-view total is nearly double the third biggest fight of all time, Oscar De La Hoya's 2007 fight with Mayweather, which had 2.48 million buys.

Showtime added that global revenues, including ticket sales, sponsorship and worldwide distribution, exceeded $600m (£450.42m).

Since there's also been a lot of talk about McGregor doing some work with the pr-wrestling company? I earned their respect and put myself out there.
